NGOs face unique project management challenges
so LINGOs developed a project management capacity program specifically for NGOs
available to members and non-members

Training
Our project management training program includes a combination of:
Certification
The first certification for NGO project management (PMD Pro1) was designed with APMG and is currently managed by PM4NGOs.
The goal of the PMD Pro1 is to:

Support and Coaching
LINGOs undertakes a range of preformance support and coaching activities at institutional and individual levels.
LINGOs also supports and is active in a number of online support communities including the PM4NGOs LinkedIn community and, in Spanish, the GEPAL (Project Management in Latin America for NGOs) community.
Measure
At the end of the project we complete the planned measurement of the impact of project management improvements
| from Knowledge | to Adoption |
We belief that sustainable improvements in project impact result from a
combination of increasing knowledge and promoting adoption. That is why we complement our training activities (workshops and e-learning) with performance support activities (coaching and consulting) that promote the adoption of improved project management skills.

Sample of LINGOs Project Management:
World Vision Southern and Eastern Africa: LINGOs is working with the Regional Centres in each region to train 500 project managers from each region in PMDPro. In addition, LINGOs is making a range of additional e-courses available, training World Vision staff as trainers and undertaking a range of performance support and coaching activities to help staff implement the tools and techniques and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their projects.
ChildFund International: LINGOs has trained a number of staff in ChildFund staff in Guatemala and Panama in PMDPro and provided a series of coaching activities. We are now working with the Americas region to train trainers to ensure that they are able to roll out a training programme across the region.
Inter-American Development Bank: LINGOs is training IDB local partners in Haiti, Guatemala, Panama, Paraguay and Brazil. This includes face-to-face and virtual training, individual and organisational coaching and performance support, providing a learning management system with a wide range of supplementary project management courses in Spanish, French and Portuguese. The project is also developing the capacity of local partner organisations so that they can continue to offer courses after the project finishes.
LINGOs trialled its Project Management program in early 2010 and it proved so popular that one pilot became a region-wide capacity building project.
